Ramadan Starts Sunday June 29
First Taraweeh will be Saturday night after Isha (tonight 6/28)

Islamic Center of Lexington Park (ICLP) wishes to inform you that based on ICLP Moon Sighting Policy, members of the board, have confirmed that the Moon for the holy month of Ramadan has not been sighted. Therefore, the first day of Ramadan will be on Sunday June 29, Insha’Allah. May Allah (SWT) bless all Muslims with the bounties of this holy month. Tarweeh prayers will start Saturday night after Isha prayer. Adhan for Isha prayer will be at 10:10 p.m.

Nightly Taraweeh Prayers Time:
Since the time for Isha prayer starts quite late, we will be Insha’Allah quickly start Taraweeh prayers after Isha prayer with a goal of finishing them in about 60 minutes each night. Adhan for Isha prayer will be at 10:10 pm for the first 6 days of Ramadan and at 10:05 p.m. for the remaining days.

Fitra and Fidya:
Fitra for this year will be $10 per person; and for people who can not fast, Fidya has been decided to be $300 to cover entire month of Ramadan. When you make these payments, please clarify the purpose (Fitra or Fidya) so that they can be distributed accordingly.
